Denver—Jason Regier and Chance Sumner have a lot to take pride about these days. They and the rest of the North American Wheelchair Rugby Paralympics Team USA recently won the North America Cup and Canada Cup. Sumner and Regier, can also be seen in the multiple award-winning feature film, “The Goal.”
Jason Regier, who plays “Jason” in the film, was the inspiration behind the role. When Darla Rae, director, writer, and producer of “The Goal,” met Jason she decided to rewrite her script. “As I got to know Jason and his story, I knew that it was one that needed to be shared. He is an amazing athlete and has overcome many obstacles. Jason really is an inspiration for us all, all of the guys on the team are.”

“The Goal” will be released this fall in select theaters by Film It Productions and on DVD internationally by Maverick Entertainment. To learn more about the film and these amazing athletes visit www.thegoal-movie.com.
